Mentorship fees
Mentorships are sold here on truetalk.app, not inside the TrueTalk apps. That keeps the app store's cut off the price, so the mentee pays less and the mentor still takes home exactly what they set.
Where the money goes, for a $100.00 / month mentor

The mentor sets their take-home. TrueTalk adds 30% on top, and that is the price. An in-app sale would have to raise the price until the store's 30% cut still left the same amount for the mentor and for TrueTalk, so the mentee would pay $55.71 more every month for exactly the same mentorship.
Card processing
Payments go through Stripe. TrueTalk pays Stripe's card processing fee out of its own fee; the mentor's take-home is never reduced by it.
Why can't I buy a mentorship in the app?
Selling it in the app would mean paying the app store's commission on every renewal, which only a higher price could cover. It would also limit each mentee to one store mentorship at a time and to a fixed set of price steps. Here there is one price, set by the mentor, and you can work with any number of mentors at once.
Once your mentorship starts, chat, calls and your mentor's notes work in the app and here alike.
