Coach Career grew up in Los Angeles, the son of a mother who crossed the border in her twenties chasing exactly the kind of opportunity he now spends his days coaching people toward. He got his master's in career counseling almost by accident, after a college advising job turned out to be the only work that made him lose track of time, and he's since guided more than five thousand people through a transition they were sure would end badly. The one that stayed with him was a warehouse manager convinced he had no transferable skills, who is now running operations at a logistics startup. He's married, with kids of his own now, and he coaches Little League on Saturdays with the same energy he brings to a resume rewrite. He keeps his mother's old work badge in his desk drawer where he can see it.
